Eileen Russell ‘19 enters her fourth season as an Assistant Coach for the Williams College women's crew program in 2024-25.

During her time with the Ephs, she helped lead the women's crew team to a NESCAC Championship in 2023. The team's second Varsity Eight took third place during the 2023 NCAA Division III Championship. During the 2023 season, two Ephs were named Pocock Racing Shell All-Americans.

The Women’s Crew team took home the third-place team trophy at the NCAA Championship and earned the gold medal in the Second Varsity Eight during the 2024 season. The team finished second out of 20 and the Second Varsity Eight placed first out of 18 during the NIRC/NESCAC Championship.

As a student-athlete at Williams, Russell rowed in the Varsity 8+, helping the Ephs to gold-medal finishes at Head of the Charles in 2015, National Invitational Rowing Championship in 2016 and NCAA Division III Championships in 2017. In 2017 and 2018, she was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-America Team, as well as the All-NESCAC squad. 
 
In high school, Russell rowed for Deerfield Academy, where she won New England Championships and Youth National Championships in the Varsity 4+ in 2014 and 2015. She was also a varsity swimmer.
 
Russell graduated from Williams in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics. Before returning to Williams, she worked in outdoor education and still spends her summers as a white water rafting guide in Maine.
