Williams' senior forward Brett Eisenhart (Seattle, WA/Emerald City FC) has been named the NESCAC Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for the week ending September 11, 2011.
Tallying goals in both games this past weekend for the Ephs, Eisenhart powered 5th-ranked Williams to a 2-0-0 start. During the NESCAC opener at Bates on Saturday, she scored her first goal of the season, and the team's second goal in a 2-0 win over the Bobcats.
In Sunday's win at #22nd Wheaton, Eisenhart was the only player on the field to score in the 1-0 Eph victory.
Since becoming an Eph, Eisenhart has registered 74 points on 33 goals and eight assists. A captain, Eisenhart is being called onto trigger the Eph attack as Williams embarks on its quest for a fifth straight NESCAC title.
To date with Eisenhart on the team, the Ephs have posted a 55-6-3 (.883) record, while she has logged 47 starts in the 64 games.
The Ephs, having now moved up to 3rd in the nation, will next see action this Saturday when they face #1 Messiah College in the Williams "home opener" to be played at nearby Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in North Adams, Mass. at 10:00 AM.
With Cole Field at Williams still reeling after Hurricane Irene, the Ephs will also play Oneonta State on Sunday at MCLA in a game slated to start at 1:30 PM.
