The Williams women's soccer team has been selected to compete in the 64-team 2011 NCAA National Championship tournament. The Ephs have earned their fifth consecutive invitation to the tournament, along with their 13th bid overall.

Williams will travel to Stevens Institute located in Hoboken, New Jersery to compete against the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Virginia Wesleyan in the first round on Saturday, November 12.

The winner of the weekend will advance to the sectionals, where the winner of those will advance to the national semifinals in San Antonio, Texas to be held December 2-3 at Blossom Soccer Stadium.

To continue on, Williams must beat both Virginia Wesleyan and the winner of the Stevens/Westfield State game this weekend.

Williams' women's soccer has reached the semifinals and quarterfinals each once while under the leadership of head coach Michelyn Pinard. During the 2011 regular season, the Ephs finished with an overall record of 10-4-3 and 7-2-1 in the NESCAC. Conference champion Amherst and Middlebury are the other NESCAC teams that earned a berth in the tournament.
