WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Williams College senior Sachi Siegelman (Piedmont, CA) has been named All New England First Team by the ECAC, it was announced Wednesday.
Siegelman served on one of the conference's top defensive units this past year, as the Ephs (13-5-3) posted a 0.69 goals against average, allowing only 15 goals over 21 outings. She also chipped in two goals on the offensive end and helped Williams reach the quarterfinals of this year's NCAA Tournament.
"Sachi is a major reason our program has experienced so much recent success," Ephs' head coach Michelyne Pinard said. "She doesn't show up in the statistics, so I'm so glad that she was recognized by other coaches as having an impact that we always knew she has had on our team. She is a tenacious defender, she's a savvy attacker, she's a relentless competitor and most enjoyably, she is incredibly humble in all of her success. We will miss her a great deal next year."
Previously, she was named All-America by the NSCAA, All-NESCAC and All-New England.
