CENTERVILLE, MA – A pair of midfieldes on Michelyne Pinard's Williams women's soccer team that posted a 14-4-2 record, advancing to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament, have received ECAC All-New England honors.
Mitsuyama was named to the First Team and Nicasio was named to the Second Team.
Mitsuyama primarily played midfield for the Ephs this season, but she was also put on the backline and up front depending what the game situation dictated. Most striking about Mitsuyama's play is her composure on the ball, how well she reads the game, and her ability to deliver a long or short ball. Mitsuyama contributed three assists this season.
Nicasio, a captain, was particularly adept at advancing the ball down the left side with her speed and then delivering a left-footed ball into the box. All three of her goals this season came in post-season play: against Wesleyan (NESCAC), Lesley (NCAA) and Keene State (NCAA). She was also credited with an assist this season.
Nicasio was one of just three seniors on the 2013 Williams team.
