Kristi Kirshe selected NESCAC Player of the Week & ECAC-New England Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Williams College sophomore Kriste Kirshe (Franklin, MA) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Soccer player of the Week for play ending Sunday, Oct. 19.

Kirshe scored two game-winning goals in a 2-0 week for the Ephs, as Williams beat NESCAC rivals Tufts and Middlebury by identical 1-0 scores this weekend. Kirshe's goal against Tufts came in the fifth minute of the game, while her strike versus Middlebury came in the 51st minute.

On Tuesday evening the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Kirshe the ECAC-New England Division III Player of the Week.

Her 10 goals tie her for the team and conference lead. Her 23 points (10 goals, 3 assists) also pace the NESCAC and the Ephs. 

Both wins moved Williams (12-1-0, 7-1-0) into a tie for first place in the conference standings.
