HADLEY, MA – Williams College junior forward Kristi Kirshe (Franklin, MA) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
Kirshe powered the Ephs to two road wins on the week, netting both goals in the 2-0 win over Skidmore and then she tallied the lone goal of the game in the 103rd minute in the Ephs' 1-0 2OT win at Wesleyan on Saturday.
This season Kirshe has scored nine goals and assisted on six more to give her 24 points, ranking her second in NESCAC behind teammate and classmate Audrey Thomas who has 26 points on 11 goals and four assists.
Kirshe has started all 13 games for the 12-0-1 Ephs and has notched five game-winning goals this fall and has fashioned 15 deciders in her career.
Kirshe and her Eph teammates return to action this Saturday when they host Tufts in a 1:30 p.m. NESCAC match on Cole Field.
