KANSAS CITY, MO. -- The Williams College women's soccer team got down to the task at hand Thursday as Day 2 of its second consecutive trip to the Final 4 began with a practice at Swope Park Village, continued with a scout session on Friday's national semifinal opponent Centre College, and ended with the NCAA banquet in which all eight teams took part.
Some of the highlights along the way included a tour of Kansas City's Sporting Park, where the Major League Soccer team Sporting KC plays its home games, the banquet itself, where senior co-captain Zoe Trutner was an Elite 90 finalist, senior co-captain Mai Mitsuyama was named an All-American, and the team speech was delivered in eloquent fashion by senior Lindsey Vandergrift.
The Ephs, along with the other seven teams, had two local Special Olympians as guests at their banquet tables, and delivered several Williams-themed gifts to them.
Friday is game day, and the Ephs (19-1-2) will battle the Colonels (21-1-1) at Swope Park Village at 2:30 p.m. EST. You can watch the game HERE.
