WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Following first and second round Div. III NCAA Tournament victories this past weekend, the Williams College women's soccer team (18-1-1) is set to face Cal Lutheran (16-3-3) Saturday at home in the Sweet Sixteen. The other third round contest in Williamstown Saturday will feature SUNY-Geneseo (18-1-2) against Johns Hopkins (17-2-3) at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday's winners will face each other with a spot in the Final Four on the line Sunday at 1 p.m.
Tickets prices are $6 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Children under the age of 2 will be admitted free.
Cal Lutheran punched its ticket to a first-ever appearance in the Sweet Sixteen by tying Pacific Lutheran, 1-1, but advancing in penalty kicks, 6-5. SUNY-Geneseo won two overtime games last weekend, defeating Misericordia 1-0 in an extra session to advance to Williamstown. Johns Hopkins bested Wilkes, 2-0, Sunday to advance to the Sweet 16.
