Boston Red Sox to Honor 2017 NCAA Champion Williams College Women's Soccer Team May 1st

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- The 2017 NCAA title was the second head coach Michelyne Pinard's Ephs have won in the last three years as they also claimed the 2015 title.

Prior to the first pitch of the Red Sox vs. KC Royals game on May 1 (7:10 PM) Pinard and her Eph team will be honored on the famed Fenway field.

The 2017 Ephs fashioned an overall record of 22-1-1, won the NESCAC championship, and shutout all six oppnents they face in the NCAA tourney, while netting 14 goals.

Four Ephs were named to the 2017 NCAA All-Tournament Team. The Most Outstanding Offensive Player was Natasha Albaneze. The Most Outstanding Defensive Player was goalie Olivia Barnhill. Defender Danielle Sim and forward Alison Lu were also named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Ephs current senior class — Sim, Albaneze, Evan GancedoJacqueline Simeone,  Kate Sands and Hanna Kaeser  compiled a four-year mark of 82-5-6 at Williams, a .915 winning percentage. They are the first class at Williams to win 80-plus games in a four-year span, breaking the mark of 74 wins set by the 2016 seniors. The seniors won two national titles, advanced to three Final Fours and earned their way to the NCAA quarterfinals all four years.
