WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — The defending national champion Williams College women's soccer team (15-1-2) earned an at-large berth into the 2018 NCAA Div. III Tournament and will host first and second round games this weekend, Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11.
The Ephs will be making their 20th appearance in the Div. III NCAA Tournament — and 12th consecutive — this weekend when the Ephs play host to the University of New England, SUNY-Geneseo and Stevens Institute of Technology.
"We love playing on Cole, but at this point in the season, we are just happy to be playing,' Ephs' head coach Michelyne Pinard said. "Only 64 teams in the country are able to say that and we don't take that for granted, we're thrilled to be playing, we're thrilled to be on Cole Field and we're looking to do whatever we can do to earn another day together."
Saturday's first game will pit the Commonwealth Coast Champion Nor'easters (10-7-2) against Ephs (15-1-2) at 11 a.m. The 1:30 p.m. first round game will see the Knights from SUNY-Geneseo (14-3-1) — champions of the SUNYAC — take on the Ducks from Stevens Institute (15-2-0), which took the automatic qualifier out of the Empire Eight Conference. Ticket prices are $6 for general admission; $3 for senior citizens; $3 for students and $2 for children ages three to 12.
