BRUNSWICK, ME—This afternoon, two members of Williams women's swimming and diving raced at the Women's February Invite, hosted at Bowdoin College's Leroy Greason Pool. Along with other swimmers from a host of NESCAC teams, Delaney Smith '18 and Rollie Grinder '21 time trialed individual events with the hopes of bringing down their times from last weekend's NESCAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Smith chose the 100-yd freestyle, which she swam next to Maddie Ford '20 of Connecticut College. She gave a solid performance, with near-even 50 splits of 25.07 and 26.94 for a cumulative time of 52.01.
Grinder elected to swim the 100-yd fly, her strongest event. She touched to a 56.72, improving her time from last week and earning an NCAA B cut.
Both women are set to compete for the Ephs at the 2018 NCAA Championships in March, hosted at the Indiana University Natatorium.
