Williamstown, MA – It was a day of mixed results for the Ephs as they wrapped up the second day of the Lindsay Morehouse Invitational. Williams took on the teams they had yet to face in the Invitational, Middlebury and Skidmore. The Invitational is named in memory of Lindsay Morehouse '00, an alumnus who was one of three to perish in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Williams swept Skidmore in doubles with the pairings of Chloe Henderson '20 and Maya Jamroz '23, Emily Zheng '20 and Zoe Bennett '23, and Katherine Orgielewicz '23 and Sarah Yang '20 all taking victories. Jamroz and Henderson pulled out a relatively close victory by the score of 8-6. Against Middlebury, Williams was not as strong, with Yang and Orgielewicz taking the only win.

Singles were also a mixed bag against Skidmore with Henderson pulling out a marathon win. After winning the first set in a tiebreak, she dropped the second set. In the deciding third set, she won by a score of 11-9, taking far longer than an average set. Freshmen Jamroz and Orgielewicz also won their singles matches.

Eph Head Coach Anik Cepeda said that "this group is receptive to growth. I can visibly see us taking strides in what we set out to do, adjusting when things aren't going our way. This bodes well for progress...I'm excited for tomorrow."

The round-robin Invitational concludes outside tomorrow with more singles and doubles matches. At the end, one senior from each team will be awarded the Lindsay Morehouse award for demonstrating kindness, sportsmanship, and a team-oriented spirit.
