In a bright spot, two of the matches had close margins. Freshman Katherine Orgielewicz and senior Emily Zheng lost to Skylar Schossberger and Katherine Hughes 8-6. Junior Rachel Cross and senior Chloe Henderson also fell 8-6 to Catherine Blayze and Brinlea la Barge. In addition, senior Sarah Yang and freshman Maya Jamroz lost to Maddi Stow and Amanda Frank by a line of 8-4.
Coach Anik Cepeda said, "Middlebury played disciplined tennis. We'll learn and move on to the next match."
