BOSTON, MA- A small contingent of Ephs travelled to Boston University today to compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. They faced competition from as far away as Boston, Texas, and Washington, D.C. Junior Tyra Wynn ran a season best time of 5:23.99 in the mile run, battling competitors all the way through the final straight. First-year Davis Collison took advantage of the facility's banked track to run a stellar season best time of 26.28 in the 200 meter dash.
Completing the action for the day, the relay team of Kayley McGonagle '18, Kate Kennedy '18, Megan Powell '20, and Ella Dunn '21 ran a season best time of 3:54.09 in an incredibly close and well-fought race. They held off teams from Cal St. Los Angeles, the University of Connecticut, and a surging squad from LIU Brooklyn. That time currently ranks them 3rd in Division III.
The rest of the Ephs cheered on the team from Williamstown and rested in preparation of Division III New England's next Friday and Saturday at Springfield College.
