WILIAMSTOWN, MA – Nate Hoey's Williams College Indoor Women's Track & Field team has been named the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association Scholar Team of the Year in NCAA DIII for 2018.
Hoey's Ephs finished second to UMass Boston at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Eph team posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.57 to win the indoor honor.
"We are all very proud of this team and what they have accomplished," said Hoey. "However, what makes us more proud is the way in which they do it. They consistently carry themselves in a positive manner, always looking out for each other, and lifting each other up. They put maximum effort into all they do on a daily basis."
The Scholar Team of the Year goes to the highest finishing team at the national championship that achieved All-Academic status.
