HADLEY, MASS. – Williams College junior distance runner Anna Passannante (Chapel Hill, NC) was named the NESCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for posting the NESCAC's fastest time this spring in the 1,500-meter race.
Competing at MIT in the Dick Farley-Gordon Kelly Dual Meet between Williams and MIT, Passannante finished in 4:33.19.
Her winning time was just five one hundredths of a second out of the Eph top ten for the event.
"Anna ran a great race leading from start to finish on Saturday," stated Eph head coach Nate Hoey "It's always fun to watch her compete and we are excited for her to receive this recognition."
Williams defeated MIT 108-76 in the meet held in Cambridge, Mass.
