Williams to host NCAA Williamstown, Mass. Regional

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — The Williams College women's volleyball team, which won the NESCAC Tournament Sunday with a 3-0 sweep of Bowdoin, has been selected to host one of eight NCAA Div. III Regional Tournaments beginning Friday in the Chandler Gymnasium.

The Ephs (25-4) will welcome Springfield, Baruch, UMass-Boston, Wellesley, Roger Williams, Southern Vermont, and St. Joseph's of Long island to the Village beautiful for seven matches. The winner will advance to the Elite 8 on the campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan.

Fans can pick between two ticket packages. The all-session pass for Friday is $12 for adults, $10 for students and $7 for students under 12. Children under 2 and accompanied by a paying adult will be allowed in free. A single session ticket will cost $6 for adults, $4 for students and $3 for children under 12.

The Friday slate of matches looks likes this: At 12:30 p.m., St. Joe's tangles with Roger Williams. At 3, UMass-Boston and Wellesley play. At 5:30 p.m., Baruch takes on Springfield and at 8 p.m., Southern Vermont will face-off against host Williams.

The two Saturday matches between the Friday winners will start at 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday's regional final is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
