HADLEY, MA – Williams College senior outside hitter and captain Claire Miller (Wilmette, IL) was named the NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Week for helping lead the Ephs to their second consecutive NESCAC title and a conference-best 11th overall crown.

Miller put together three consecutive matches of double-digit kills, totaling 38 in all as the Ephs clipped Hamilton 3-2, blanked Amherst 3-0 and then in front of a large and raucous home crowd in Tufts' Cousens Gymnasium, downed the Jumbos in five sets, winning the fifth set 15-13.

In the three matches Miller hit .232, contributed 27 digs, and delivered four service aces in helping reverse the regular season outcome versus Tufts when the Jumbos posted a 3-1 home win over the Ephs on October 17.

Winning the NESCAC Tournament provided the Ephs with an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Williams (25-4) will be making its second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and its 12th overall.

Williams has been selected to host an 8-team NCAA regional this Friday through Sunday in Chandler Gymnasium. The Ephs will open up against Skyline Conference Champion Sage Colleges (25-6) at 8:00 PM on Friday.
