David Lindholm joined Williams College in the Fall of 2024 as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Recruitment and Sports Supervision. In his role, he works closely with coaches and student-athletes for multiple sports, as well as assisting the department with all recruiting efforts in coordination with the Admission office.

At Williams, Lindholm has also assisted with event management, including serving as the Tournament Director for men’s and women’s soccer and women’s ice hockey games in the NCAA Tournament, as well as for the 2025 NESCAC Men’s Golf Championship and the 2026 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship. 

A member of the Division III Men’s Golf National Committee, Lindholm helped with the 2025 and 2026 National Championships in Rochester, N.Y. and Orlando, Fla. 

Lindholm arrived at Williams from Bard College, having served as the Athletic Director for two years and the Interim AD for the 18 months prior. He was the Associate Athletic Director and Head Coach of Cross-Country and Track & Field from 2018 through 2021, having arrived in 2016 as the Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer and Men’s and Women’s Squash.
 
As a soccer coach, Lindholm spent time at the University of Massachusetts, Western New England University, and Middlebury College, where he was a member of the coaching staff for the 2007 Division III National Championship-winning team. From 2017-2018, he was the Head Coach of Kingston Stockade FC of the NPSL, winning a conference championship and qualifying for the U.S. Open Cup.

From 2006 through 2014, Lindholm worked in the front office of two Major League Soccer clubs, doing communications at Club Deportivo Chivas USA in Los Angeles and with the Colorado Rapids in Denver. He also provided media relations and operations support at large-scale matches and tournaments including the Copa America, Gold Cup, MLS All-Star Games and MLS Cups.

A graduate of Middlebury College in 2005, Lindholm was a student-athlete in both soccer and squash. He earned his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts in 2016. He resides in Williamstown with his wife and daughter.
