Joe Gratton enters his fifth season as an Equipment Room Coordinator at Williams College in 2025-26. He was appointed to the position in December 2021. 

In his current role, Gratton receives, supervises and maintains inventories of all athletic uniforms and equipment for specific teams. He provides storage area for the equipment, as well as overseeing fitting and necessary adjustments needed for uniforms and equipment of team players. Gratton supervises laundry and locker-room maintenance, as well as transportation of equipment to out-of-town games. 

Prior to Williams, Gratton served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts from 2019-21. He assisted in building practice plans, batting lineups and game plans designed to help the team win and succeed. Gratton attended showcases and tournaments in order to recruit and evaluate incoming first-year athletes and junior-college transfers. Furthermore, he reviewed game film from previous years to learn from weaknesses and mistakes, which helped develop new strategy.

Gratton spent time as a Program Administrator for Dalton CRA, where he assisted over 100 customers per day with membership, youth sports and program-schedule-related questions. He attended six or more youth athletic games weekly to manage and to assist coaches and officials if any issues were to arise with equipment, players or fans. Gratton organized and tracked weekly equipment inventory for football, soccer and baseball, while handling over $1,000 a day, consisting of donations and membership payments. Additionally, Gratton completed and tracked paperwork that was required to deposit the donations and payments into the bank.

Gratton worked as an Equipment Room Assistant at Castleton from 2016-19. He was a four-year varsity student-athlete on the baseball team at Castleton and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2018. He continued his education, earning a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Castleton in 2020. During his time on the baseball team at Castleton, Gratton was named to the Little East All-Academic Team (2019) and North Atlantic Conference First Team (2018).
