Kevin Snyder is entering his second season as an assistant coachon the Williams College men's basketball staff after spending the2009-10 season as the Director of Basketball Operations at TheCollege of William & Mary.
Last year the Ephs compiled a record of 29-3 going undefeated inNESCAC regular season play and advancing to the NationalSemifinals.
Snyder graduated from Williams in 2009 with a degree in art andpsychology. He was a three-year starter for the Ephs and became the26th player in Williams history to score over 1,000 careerpoints.
As a senior co-captain, Snyder was named a first-team All-NESCAChonoree, while averaging 16.8 points per game and leading the squadin minutes played (34.8), 3-pointers made (66) and assists (96). Heshot 41.5 percent from 3-point range and averaged 3.7 assists and4.0 rebounds per game. Snyder also led the NESCAC inassist-to-turnover ratio in 2009 at 1.81. He scored a career-high30 points on three occasions as a senior against Ursinus,Framingham State and Amherst College, helping Williams to a 17-9overall mark and a 6-3 conference ledger.
The Littleton, CO, native finished his Williams’ careerwith 1,016 points, 237 assists and 272 rebounds in 80 careerstarts. As a sophomore starter in 2007, Snyder helped the Ephs tothe NESCAC Championship and a berth in the Division III NCAATournament.
Along with his prowess on the court, Snyder succeeded in theclassroom as well. He was a Second-Team ESPN The Magazine AcademicDistrict I selection as a senior and a two-time Academic All-NESCAChonoree.
Snyder played at Heritage High School in Littleton, Colo. as aprep and captained the squad to a state championship during hissenior season in 2005. Heritage finished the year at 27-1 overalland was ranked No.1 in the state of Colorado, as well as ending theseason as the 43rd ranked team in the nation. Snyder wasan honorable mention all-state selection after averaging 14.4points per game and hitting 70 3-pointers.
