Hot-shooting Golia leads Ephs by Nichols, 108-78

SALEM, MA -- Senior Tommas Golia had a perfect shooting night Monday, finishing 6 for 6 from the floor -- all from beyond the three-point line -- and 2 for 2 from the foul line as he netted a team-high 20 points in a 108-78 victory over Nichols College at the Salem State Christmas Tournament.

The Ephs improved to 7-2 and will face host Salem State Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the championship tilt of the tourney. The Vikings defeated Denison, 95-85, Monday evening.

Williams scored a whopping 68 first-half points against Nichols and went into halftime leading by 30 points. The Ephs shot an impressive 56.1 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes and were an even better 57.1 percent (12 of 21) from beyond the arc.

Golia added two assists and added three rebounds. His 20 points came in just 12 minutes of play. Senior Kevin Snyder scored 17 points and added six assists and five rebounds in the victory. Alex Rubin poured in 11 points.
