WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Williams College women's
swimming and diving team (7-0) dominated in today's meet
against Wesleyan (219-77) and Tufts (207-93).
“A number of our usual swimmers were not able to compete
today due to sickness,” says head coach Steve Kuster.
“This just goes to show the depth of our women's
team.”
Today was in fact an excellent example of the depth of this
year's team. The standout performance of today's meet
came from freshman Logan Todhunter. Logan placed first in the
200-yard freestyle (1:55.77), 200-yard backstroke (2:12.67),
200-yard individual medley, and 200-yard medley relay (1:50.51)
alongside senior Courtney Asher, fellow freshman Anna Szymanski,
and junior Lisa Cucolo.
Cucolo earned top spots in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly
(1:00.41, 2:11.05), as well as in the 400-yard freestyle relay with
teammates Szymanski, and sophomores Olivia Card-Childers and Ryan
McChesney.
Coach Kuster said, “this was a good week of work for us,
we swam very well today.”
The Ephs next battle is versus Springfield on the 24th at 1PM.
