Ephs Earn Solid Win Over Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT - Coming off of a tough loss to Wesleyan yesterday, the Williams College volleyball team (12-5) defeated tournament host Connecticut College in three sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-15) on day two of the ConnColl Invitational.

“I'm proud of how the team responded from our loss last night. It speaks a lot to our team's heart for us to bounce back the way we did as a team,” said head coach Christi Kelsey.

Juniors Nicole Ballon-Landa and Kate Anderson led the team from the front row, posting 9 and 8 kills respectively, while junior setter Emily Avis had 27 assists. In the back, senior Andrea Scioscia had 14 digs and sophomore Aly McKinnon got six aces.

“We came out from the first point with great energy and focused on executing the little things,” said coach.

The Ephs' next game is on October 14. The team faces SUNY New Paltz on the road, game begins at 7PM.
