CLINTON, NY – The Williams College
volleyball team (17-8) breezed past Bates College 3-0 (25-15,
25-15, 25-18), bringing their NESCAC conference record to 7-2. With
one more game left in the regular season, the Ephs look strong
going into tomorrow's match against Colby at Hamilton.
“Tonight was a solid match against a team who was far better
than their conference record shows,” said head coach Christi
Kelsey. The Bates Bobcats are currently 1-7 in the NESCAC.
“This was a good win for us.”
The Ephs gave solid performances on both offense and defense.
Seniors Chelsea Kubal and Andrea Scioscia (4 aces) led the team in
digs, posting 15 apiece. Junior Emily Avis had 37 assists, while
hitters Kate Anderson (16 kills) and Whitney Hitchcock (12 kills)
dominated on offense.
“We maintained our pace and played our style
throughout,” said coach.
The Ephs hope to continue their success tomorrow when they face
Colby at 1:30PM.
