Women's Squash 1-1 for the Weekend

The No. 2 ranked Trinity Bantams dropped the Ephs 9-0 on Saturday in Harford, Connecticut despite the strong play of Williams. Williams rebounded against Mount Holyoke with a 9-0 win.

Against Trnity, at the number 1 position, reigning individual national champion Nour Bahgat from Eygpt defeated No. 3 ranked Toby Eyre in three hotly contested games. Eyre nearly took the first game after building an 8-3 lead, but Bahgat stormed back, rattling off 8 straight points to win the game. A ferociously competitive Bahgat won the second error plagued game 11-7 and the third 11-5.  

Jennifer Coxe also had a strong showing for Williams as she managed to take the second game off Nayelly Hernandez 11-9. Coxe nearly won the third game as well before losing 11-9. Williams also nearly won games at No. 3 and No. 9 where Courtney Bougle lost the third game 11-9 and Julia Reiser lost her third game 11-8.

After the tough match against Trinity, Williams looked to bounce back against the Mount Holyoke College Lyons. The Ephs won 9-0, but had several close matches. Coxe won a 4-gamer 14-12 in the fourth, sophmores Bougle and Eliana Saltzmann, and freshman Laura Henry won in 4 games as well. Caroline Henry won in 5 games.
