Second year head coach Mike Maker has his Ephs off to a 12-1 start,
ranked seventh nationally and folks are starting to notice.
Maker and his Ephs are currently featured on the front page of
www.d3hoops.com and in a
story inside in the Around the
Nation section in a piece written by Evans Clinchy.
In his first season at Williams Maker guided the Ephs to a 17-9
record.
Sophomore guard james Wang picked up his
second NESCAC Player of the Week award of the season last week for
averaging 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in wins over
Colby-Sawyer and Amherst.
The high scoring Ephs are coming off a 72-69 win over archrival
Amherst last Saturday in Chandler Gym and will open NESCAC play
tonight in Chandler. The Ephs and the Jumbos of Tufts University
will tip it off at 8:00 pm.
Saturday afternoon the Ephs will host the Bates Bobcats at 4:00 pm
to close out the weekend.
