Kelsey
Williamstown, MA-- The Williams College Ephs
(3-2) stepped onto Chandler court this evening with every intention
of winning. The Ephs faced Vassar College and took the match in a
3-0 victory (25-13 25-11 25-19).
Senior Kate
Anderson led the Ephs with 16 kills and freshmen Emily Doll nailed 10
kills on the evening. Junior Aly McKinnon
showed great hustle to get her team-leading 17 digs as did freshman
Emily Barrata with her 8 digs. Senior Emily Avis went to
work and earned 35 assists. Last but not least, senior Nicole
Ballon-Landa had two service aces.
Vassar College was led by Chloe McGuire and Amy Bavosa who each
had 9 and 7 kills, respectively. Hilary Coenigs had 24 assists, and
Chelsea Mottern along with Chloe McGuire earned 10 digs each this
evening.
Coach Kelsey was very pleased with the Ephs' game-winning
performance--but she wasn't the only fan of the Williams College
Volleyball team. Tonight's crowd showed great passion and
enthusiasm as they watched their fellow peers bring Eph Pride to
Chandler Gym.
The Ephs will next be facing Connecticut College on Friday,
September 17th at 6 PM in New London, CT.
