WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Williams College men's soccer team
defeated Colby College 2-1 in overtime Saturday afternoon.

Ratajczak headed the winning goal for the Ephs off a corner
from Gaston
Kelly in the 98th minute of overtime. This was the
4th overtime game for the Ephs this season, three of
which have resulted in a victory.
The Ephs (4-0-1, 2-0-1 NESCAC) got on the board first when Charles
Romero connected with a cross from Noah Cadet in
the 80th minute. Colby College (3-2-0, 1-2-0
NESCAC) struck back in the 85th minute when Ben Desmond
scored to send the game into overtime.
Overall the Ephs enjoyed a significant shot advantage over Colby
College, outshooting the Mules 30 to 5. Colby keeper John Gardner,
however, proved up to the task with 8 saves for the Mules. Andrew
Lyons-Berg had 1 save in 90 minutes of play for the Ephs.
The Ephs will return to the field tomorrow afternoon in a
non-conference match against Wheaton College.
