Schenectady, NY---Tonight the Ephs faced Union College and came
out triumphantly, 3-1(26-24 17-25 25-16 25-16)--- fired up and
ready to face their opponents in New Jersey. Freshman Emily Baratta led
the team with 15 digs, while Junior Aly McKinnon had
12, and Senior Emily Avis had 10.
Emily Avis had 42 assists that powered the Williams offense---led
by a tough trio of Senior Nicole
Ballon-Landa (14 kills), Emily Baratta(11 kills), and Sophomore
Haley
Eagon(12 kills). Emily Avis also had 2 service aces.
Senior Kate Anderson was
excited by the team's performance and was noted as saying, "It was
a good all-around team effort". Junior Aly McKinnon was also super
fired up about the Ephs' game tonight as she and Senior Eleanor Levine
reminisced about the Ephs last trip to the Garden State this
weekend, "I felt like the team had really good chemistry in New
Jersey (last season) and I just hope we can really keep that spark
this weekend".
The Ephs will kick off the weekend on Friday night at 6 pm
against Stevens.
