Twelfth Consecutive Little Three for the Women

Amherst – Today the Ephs traveled to Amherst to take on Amherst and Wesleyan in the annual Little Three Championship. Based on the Ephs eleven consecutive wins, the women wanted to continue the winning streak.

They took on Wesleyan first at one o'clock. Wanting to send a strong message to Amherst, who they played later at three o'clock, the women defeated Wesleyan 9-0. Knowing that Amherst would put up a tougher competition than in the past years, the women went into the match focused and determined to win. They ended up with a 7-2 victory, as well as the Little Three Championship title. The matches against Amherst were close, however. Kavitha Mannava won in a tough five games, and several others went to four. Eliana Saltzman lost in another close five gamer, and Hannah Kaemmer lost in four.

Coach Zafi Levy stated about today's play, "I was pleased with the way the team played against Wesleyan. I thought we didn't play to our potential against Amherst, but I'm still pleased with the twelfth consecutive Little Three win. " The women will travel to Cornell and Hamilton tomorrow to play at 10 and 4 o'clock.
