The Women Go 1-1 in New York

Ithaca and Clinton -- The Ephs traveled to Cornell and Hamilton today to end the long weekend of squash. The women took on Cornell first at 10 am. They knew it was going to be a very tough match, however, the focus was not solely on winning, but on improving and playing good squash. With this mindset, the women went into their matches very strong, pushing their opponents to the limit. Senior captain Kavitha Mannava , Junior Carolyn Kaemmer, and Freshman Alyssa Northrop all lost in close five gamers, and several others, including Courtney Bogle and Hannah Kaemmer, came very close to taking games. Although the end result was 9-0, the women were very pleased with the way they played.

The women then traveled to Clinton to take on Hamilton at 4 pm. Exhausted from the long weekend, the women needed to focus to pull out the win. In the end, the women pushed through, exhibiting their fitness, and earned a 9-0 victory (with only three games dropped).

The women are pleased with the day's matches, and they look forward to the big matches against Brown and Middlebury next weekend.
