Women Fall 9-0 to Cornell

WILLIAMSTOWN – The women finished their weekend of matches today at noon against the Big Red. Although they came out of the weekend with one win and three losses, the women were very happy with the way they played.

Although everyone played hard, it was the two freshmen that stole the show. Ellie O'Neill, playing at number four, had a very strong performance, coming very close to taking a game with the score of 14-12. Caroline Sawin, playing at number seven, also had an extremely impressive match. She fell just short in the third and final game, finishing with an unbelievable score of 22-20.

Summing up the weekend's performance, Coach Zafi Levy commented, "The team played really well all weekend long. We are missing three starters this fall, which forces most players to play higher up on the lineup. Nevertheless, I thought our seniors did a great job in leading the younger players and helping all to play up to the challenge. We are looking forward to a few days off, and then resuming training after Thanksgiving."

When the Ephs return after a well-deserved break, they will be traveling to take on Penn, Princeton, and Trinity the weekend of 12/9.
