Women's Squash Puts Up Fight Against Dartmouth

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Ephs took on The Big Green yesterday at 2 in the Simon Squash Center. Being their first home match of the new year, as well as parents' weekend, the courts were electric, filled with family and friends.

The women knew it was going to be a tough match, but they wanted to recover from Friday's loss to Brown, and put up a good fight. Laura Henry, Caroline Sawin, and Eliana Saltzman started out the day. Although Caroline and Eliana came close, Laura was the only one to able to pull out an impressive win in four thrilling games 

Courtney Bogle, Alyssa Northrop, and Hannah Kaemmer were next to try and upset the Big Green. Following a similar trend to the first round, Alyssa and Hannah both fell in three tough games, while Courtney fought hard, achieving a decisive three game victory. 

To finish the day were Alli Rubin, Ellie O'Neill, and Carolyn Kaemmer. Although their matches did not end favorably, they did not give up. Ellie played a very mature five gamer, while Alli fell just short in four.

Overall, the women were very happy with their performance. They put up a strong fight, and are ready to continue fighting against Middlebury today at 2pm, respectively.
