CAMBRIDGE – The women's squash team traveled to Harvard today to take on Columbia in the first round of Nationals. Having beaten the Lions 7-2 a few weeks ago, the Ephs produced another dominating result, moving them on to the semi finals.
Laura Henry, Eliana Saltzman, and Caroline Sawin made up the first round of matches. Laura and Eliana both won in a decisive three games, while Caroline fought hard towards an impressive five game win. The Ephs finished the first round 3-0.
Carolyn Kaemmer, Alli Rubin, and Ellie O'Neill went on the play the next round of matches. Alli and Ellie showed great endurance as they pulled out two four game wins, and Carolyn secured the win for the Ephs with a tough five game victory.
Courtney Bogle, Alyssa Northrop, and Hannah Kaemmer ended the day with three tough matches. Courtney won in an impressive four games, while Alyssa showed great control as she pulled out another five game win. Hannah lost in a tough fives games.
The women are happy with today's win, and look forward to taking on the winner of Middlebury vs. F&M tomorrow at 4pm.
