Women's Squash Falls to Dartmouth

HANOVER, NH – Women's squash fell to Dartmouth in Wednesday night's match in Hanover. The Ephs were defeated 6-3 in their last dual match of the season. The top three players for the women all won their matches, but the rest of the lineup could not follow suit in route to their defeat.

Ellie O'Neill (#3), co-captain Laura Henry (#2), and co-captain Alli Rubin (#1) all pulled off impressive wins. Ellie O'Neill was first to record a win for the Ephs with her five game victory over her Dartmouth adversary. With the match tied at 2-2, O'Neill fought hard to pull through in the final game and won 11-6. After Henry found herself up 2-0, her opponent game back to win the third game, but Henry made sure the match was not pushed to five games, and won 11-8 in the fourth. Rubin was last off the court for the Ephs and was able to make it a win. After finding herself down 2-1, Rubin was not fazed and stormed back to take the final two games, the last one ending in 11-9.

"We knew Dartmouth would be a strong team," commented Henry. "Everyone put forth a great effort. We're looking forward to a solid two weeks of training heading into nationals."
