WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Ephs defeated Colby today 9-0 in their third match of the home weekend.
Playing the five court system, Caroline Hogan (#10), Ellen Coombe (#8), Melissa Swann (#6), Ananya Mahalingam-Dhingra (#4) all handily defeated their opponents 3-0. Hayley Parsons (#2) faced a tough opponent and went to five games but battled it out in the fifth to win 3-2
Next up were Charlotte Walsh (#9), Anna Nicholson (#7), captain Alyssa Ritchie (#5), Esther Baek (#3) followed in the footsteps of their teammates, all defeating their opponents 3-0. Nicole Friedman (#1) also faced a difficult opponent but managed to move on from a 1-1 tie and defeat her opponent in four games.
Assistant coach Blair Dils had this to say about the match: "Winning our NESCAC matches is very important for us. The level of focus has been excellent and we're playing well heading into our big match with Bates tomorrow."
The Ephs face Bates tomorrow at 12pm.
