Women's Squash Sweeps Dickinson in 9-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Ephs defeated Dickinson today in a 9-0 sweep in their second match of the season, making their overall record 1-1.

After facing a tough loss against Cornell on Friday, the Ephs were determined to dominate their match and continue the momentum built up during yesterday's match. Playing the three-court system, Anna Nicholson (#9), Sarah Willwerth (#6), and co-captain Hayley Parsons (#3) were first on court. All three were off and on the court quickly, dominating their opponents from start to finish and not dropping a game. The next round of matches continued their momentum, with Melissa Swann (#8), Esther Baek (#5), and Julia Ward (#2) all playing strong and clean squash to finish off their matches in 3 games. Last on court were Abby LeBlanc (#7), co-captain Ananya Mahalingam-Dhingra (#4), and co-captain Nicole Friedman (#1), all of whom continued the aggressive momentum and finished off the match with a final score of 9-0. Susana Wilson-Hawken (#12), Adrienne Conza (#11), and Caroline Hogan (#10) all played excellent squash in the exhibition matches, staying strong throughout the games and dominating 3-0 from start to finish.

Co-captain Nicole Friedman had this to say about the match: "Everyone played extremely well today with each player winning 3-0.  Special shoutout to the freshman on their first collegiate win. We hope to keep the momentum up for another decisive match tomorrow."

The Ephs will next face Hamilton, a fellow NESCAC, tomorrow at noon to round off their home opener weekend.
