Series Began in 1890 and Williams leads 55-15-6.
 
Williams won last meeting in 2019 in Williamstown 41-10. Bowdoin's last win in the series was also in Williamstown. In 2007 Bowdoin posted a 28-14 win over the Ephs.
 
The Ephs are riding a seven-game win streak in the series with three of those wins coming in Brunswick.

Honors:  Eph first year placekicker Ivan Shuran was named the NESCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Shuran kicked a game-tying 33-yard field goal with 43 seconds left in the fourth quarter, after Tufts had called a timeout to try and ice him, in what turned out to be a 32-29 overtime win at Tufts.
 
Shuran connected on a 44-yard field goal earlier in the game to finish the contest 2-for-2 in field goal attempts. He also went 2-for-2 in PATs and booted six kickoffs for 351 yards (58.5 yards) and two were touchbacks.
 
Bowdoin lost its home opener last Saturday when Trinity defeated the Polar Bears 38-14. Trinity opened up a 24-0 lead before Bowdoin notched rushing touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters. Against a stout Trinity defense the Polar Bears were only able to muster 183 total yards of offense.
 
The Polar Bears' top rusher was Andre Eden who gained 46 yards and scored on a 13-yard run. Bowdoin QB Griff Stalcup completed 10 of 18 passes for 97 yards and he was picked off once,
 
Myles Hugee led the Polar Bear defense with 10 tackles (6 solos and one tackle for a loss).
 
Williams prevailed over Tufts on the road in overtime 32-29. In a game that featured seven lead changes. Williams won the overtime coin toss and elected to go on defense first. The Ephs held the Jumbos to a field goal.
 
It took the Ephs three plays to score the game-winning touchdown. First QB Bobby Maimaron connected on a 17 yard pass to WR Frank Stola and then Maimaron ran for four yards on the next play. On the third play running back Joel Nicholas went four yards up the middle for the game-winning tally.
 
Maimaron connected on 14-28 passes for 198 yards and added 63 yards on the ground. Joel Nicholas led the Eph rushers with 95 yards on 22 carries and he scored two touchdowns.

Linebacker Coleston Smith recorded 13 tackles (6 solos) on the day to lead the Ephs. He was also credited with 1.5 tackles for a loss and he assisted on a sack.
 
Both Williams and Tufts accumulated 372 yards of total offense on the day with Williams generating 198 yards through the air and 184 on the ground.
 
NESCAC RANKINGS:
 
Williams is 2nd in points per game with 36.5
Bowdoin is 8th with 10.5 per game.
 
Williams is tied for 6th in points allowed at 21.0 per game
Bowdoin is 8th allowing 27.0 points per game.
 
Bowdoin's Andre Eden is 2nd in NESCAC in rushing with 76.0 yards per game, while the Ephs' Joel Nicholas is 6th with 71.0 yards per game.
 
Coleston Smith is the Ephs top tackler averaging 9.5 tackles per game, while Bowdoin's Myles Hugee is 13th with 7.5 tackles per game.
