Speaking on his team's performance today, Head Coach
Scott Honecker had this to share: "This was not our best performance. When we don't wrestle well I go back to our non-negotiable habits: preparation and effort. We were 100% in both of those areas, so I'm looking at our process to find ways we can put our guys in better position to achieve their goals. I think our weight management was disrupted a bit by the postponement of the event by a day, but we have to have a better plan to roll with those punches. The good news is we snuck out with a pair of wins and the knowledge that we need to make some small adjustments. We still have four weeks to the regional and this team is still rapidly improving. Coach Foote and I are focused on peaking these guys and I'm fully confident our best wrestling is still ahead of us this season."
The Ephs, now 8-1 on the year, will return to action in Oneonta, NY on Saturday where they will be competing in dual meets against Wesleyan, Ithaca, and the host SUNY Oneonta.
