GREENWOOD, Ind. — After earning the national and regional title among Division III student-athletes at the 157 weight class during the 2025-26 season, senior captain Peter Kane of the ninth-ranked Williams College men's wrestling team was named to the NCAA Division III College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large Second Team Wednesday afternoon.

There were a total of 45 student-athletes selected to the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America At-Large Team. Kane majored in economics and finished his undergraduate studies with a cumulative GPA of 3.60 on his way to earning his first-ever CSC Academic All-American honor.

During the 2025-26 season, Kane became the first-ever Eph at any weight class to win a national championship in 101 years of the program. The Fairfield, Connecticut, native was only the second Eph in team history to be a four-time All-American, as he placed first in the nation among Division III student-athletes at 157 in 2026, second in 2024, fifth in 2025 and seventh in 2023.

Furthermore, Kane came in first place at 157 during the NCAA Regional Championship in 2025 and 2026. He finished his career with a four-year record of 138-13, while going 34-1 during the 2025-26 season. In the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III individual rankings released on Feb. 20, Kane was No. 1 regionally and No. 2 nationally at the 157 weight class.

During the 2025-26 season, Kane powered the Ephs to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championship, which was the program's best finish ever. He was recognized as the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 25.

Kane was a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American, a four-time NEWA All-Academic honoree and named to the NESCAC All-Academic Winter Team in 2026.
