Eph head coach
Scott Honecker noted, "I was really happy with how we looked today. The guys went after it whistle to whistle and we had some nice results.
David Yehreally sets the tone for us with his consistency. He made another tournament final, but it really starts with his practice habits, his weight management, and the way he conducts himself. Which sets the table nicely for our younger guys, who were led by Caleb Seyfried and Pete Kane. Caleb balled out today. He took a tough loss in the second round and rattled off four in a row in dominating fashion. He made the 5th place match, which was a no-contest due to the 6 match rule. Peter made a splash today. But he made some correctable mistakes too, so I'm eager to get back with him next week to help him make another jump. Lastly, I am really happy for Will Smith making his first career tournament final. His passion for wrestling is so infectious, it really elevates everyone's joy when we're practicing or competing."
