Williamstown, MA - Williams College (8-7-0, 3-6-0 NESCAC) celebrates victory over #10 Colby College (9-4-0, 3-4-0 NESCAC) on Senior Day, with the Ephs securing their 3-1 win on a backhanded goal in the third period. To celebrate Senior Day the Ephs honored

Maddie Tix #11 Forward,
Kelly McCarthy #15 Forward, and
Delaney Szlezyngier #18 Defense.
Game HighlightsÂ
- Colby College found a lucky shot from the blue line hitting the back of the net to find an early 1-0 goal advantage over the Ephs 11:14 into the first.
- The Ephs found themselves on a two skater advantage after Colby received two consecutive penalties for tripping. Williams gained control of the puck and
Claire Murphy was able to take a snap shot from the top of the left circle, sinking it into the top shelf of the net assisted by
Maddie Tix and
Delaney Szlezyngier, tying the game 1-1, 18:02 into the first.Â
- Colby received another penalty for checking, allowing Williams to score another power play goal with less than a minute remaining in the period at 19:33 into the second. Murphy took a wrist shot from outside the right circle,
Ellia Chiang was waiting at the back door for the rebound and was able to poke it in giving the Ephs the lead 2-1 going into the third.Â
- Williams scored again securing their lead 3-1, 10:35 into the third.
Bella DeLuca fired the puck at the net hitting a Colby stick on its way but
Claire DeVries was waiting in front of the crease and was able to collect the puck and backhand it into the back of the net, for her first college goal.

Coach Gillis remarked on today's victory, "It was a great team effort to seal the win against a talented Colby squad in front of a lot of boisterous alums and parents. I was really impressed with the team effort today."Â
Williams will play again Tuesday January 24th at 5:30pm against #4 Plattsburgh State at the Lansing Chapman Rink.
