Williams received the ball to the start the game, and immediately went on a 75-yard touchdown drive in 7 plays capped off by a 26-yard pass on play action over the middle  from freshman quarterback Owen McHugh to Brady Stahelski. The score came on an 18-yard slant over the middle to Sean Clapp and evened the game at 7-7. It stayed tied through the end of the first quarter, with Trinity driving as time expired in the first.

The Trinity air raid continued right at the start of the second quarter, as Fetter led a 6-play, 43-yard scoring drive that ended in another slant over the middle, this time to to Max Roche, to bring the score to 14-7. Clapp then added another long touchdown reception, a 52-yarder on a rollout from Fetter, to put Trinity up by two scores. Another long touchdown drive with yet another touchdown catch by Clapp brought the store to 27-7 after a missed point after attempt with five minutes to play in the first half. Clapp's day featured the 3 scores and 129 yards receiving. The Trinity defense, after allowing the early touchdown, tightened up and forced four straight three-and-outs in the second quarter. In the meantime, the offense continued to churn, as the score came to 34-7 heading into the break.

Trinity's ground game opened the second half, with a 61-yard rush from Colin McCabe raising the score to 41-7 on Trinity's first drive. McCabe had 103 yards and the score on the day. Williams responded later in the third on a deep ball from McHugh to Cameron Lee, the Ephs' leading receiver with 103 yards. This moved the game to 41-14, where it stayed.
