Williamstown, MA - Trinity College (9-9-0, 3-8-0 NESCAC) was able to defeat Williams College (9-9-0, 4-7-0 NESCAC) after a shorthanded goal in the second and a goal in the third to seal the game 2-0.
Game Highlights
- After continuous back and forth across the ice for the duration of the first period, Trinity took a penalty for holding, giving Williams an extra skater advantage.
Jaelyn Keiver was able to win the subsequent faceoff, controlling the puck and firing it from the left circle barely missing, hitting the crossbar.
Robin Kitazono was able to recover it, skating with it from behind the net, shooting a rebound shot into the post. Keiver recovered it and took another near shot which was blocked by Leclair's leg pad.
- Early into the 2nd period Trinity took another penalty leaving them shorthanded. The Ephs applied pressure in front of their net firing off close shots but Trinity was able to find themselves and Ethel Wihelmsson netted the first goal of the game at 4:36 with Jelani Adorno and Jenny Guider assisting.

Delaney Szlezyngier fired off a close shot which bounced off of Leclair's pad and almost bounced into the goal but Leclair was able to react and cover it up.
- Trinity was able to score an insurance goal when after gaining possession of the puck Ethel Wihelmsson scored again, firing it from the right faceoff dot into the back of the net, sealing their 2-0 lead.

Christina Halloran created a 2v1 down the ice, shooting the puck over Leclair's head nearly landing it into the net but the puck barely connected with the pipe and bounced out.
