WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – On this chilly evening in Williamstown, the Williams women's squash team took on Brown University. The team took full advantage of the hometown crowd's energy to seize the win. For the senior class, it was a full-circle moment to defeat the Bears 7-2 on their senior day after a 5-4 loss to this team in their last faceoff three years ago.
Up first tonight were seniors and captains #2
Quan Ng and #7
Nikita Srivastava. Ng played a strong and efficient match against a talented Bear opponent. She used a combination of pace and soft drop shots to secure the win 3-0. Srivastava had a similarly dominating performance. She won in straight games and even prevented her competitor from gaining a single point in game 2. To close up the first round, #4
Deena Iqbal battled in the closest match of the night. After winning games 1 and 3, she just slightly outdone and lost 3-2.

Amanda Solecki, #6
Nora Brant, and senior #8
Isabel Kelly. Both Brant and Kelly focused on targeting the back corners. They closed up their matches in swift 3-0 wins. In between, Solecki demonstrated her skill on top court. She traded close games with her opponent but proved to be the stronger player in the fourth and won 3-1.

Haley Jefferson, #5
Mira Kamat, and #9
Giselle Ciriaco took to the court. In her senior day match, Jefferson battled against a strong opponent. She displayed impressive technique and strategy throughout the entire match but unfortunately fell 3-1. Senior Kamat moved her opponent around the court well and emerged victorious in straight games. Similarly, Ciriaco, in the day's shortest match, grabbed the team's 7
th win.

Quan Ng commented "Today was a bittersweet moment for the five seniors but I couldn't be happier with how the team performed today against Brown. Going into our last weekend of matches before Championship season, it's exciting to see how everyone has able to step up their playing level. I couldn't have asked for a better senior day!"
