Eph head coach
Pat Manning said, "This was a big game for us. We played a tremendous first half, and it had great energy and our defense was really good. We knew at half-time that Colby had a run in them. They are a very good team and they can be explosive. We knew we were going to have to weather the storm in the 2
nd half a little bit, and that's exactly what happened. I was happy with our composure. They kept coming at us and coming at us.
Logan Coster was a major presence off the bench, 7 for 8, hitting 2 threes. It was a great game by her. I thought
Tatum Leuenberger stood out took.
Arianna Gerig had another great showing too.
Cortland McBarron with 11.7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, she does the little things well and had a core performance for us today." She went on to say, "I was happy to see our performance from the free throw line. We can be really up and down from there. It was really key going 16 for 19 today from there. Overall, I thought it was a great performance by our bench and it was some of the best team defense that we've played."
The Ephs will remain at home for a stretch of league games. Their next is against No. 15 Bowdoin College tomorrow at 3pm in Chandler Gymnasium.
