Game Recap
Late in the overtime session theContinentals won a face off in their offensive zone, which proved to be the moment that decided the game. The Continentals' Claire McGennis proceeded to nip the puck into the back of the net, ending the game with the first and final goal of the night.

The first period saw the Continentals draw two penalties. While the away side was able to snap off 10 shots cumulatively while on the power play, the Ephs' defense, anchored by the stellar play of Erin Pye in the cage, ensured that the game would remain tied at 0-0 heading into the second period.

The Ephs were able to find better offensive opportunities in the second period. However, their two power play opportunities were snuffed out by an energetic Continental defensive effort, and the short handed side held the Ephs to only 4 power play shots during the period.

The beginning of the third period was intense, with both sides looking for their first goal of the evening. The Ephs were able to fire a number of shots off at the Continentals' Teagan Brown, but the first year goaltender held strong.

The Ephs' headed into their third overtime period in the last three games with an energetic home crowd getting loud in support. The period started very back-and-forth, but a Continental goal late into the overtime period handed the Ephs a loss.

After the game,Eph head coach Meghan Gillis stated, "Erin played amazing tonight with some ESPN top 10 style saves to keep us in the game. We hope to match Hamilton's relentless and connected play tomorrow."

The Ephs will once again face the Continentals tomorrow at home, with the game scheduled for 3PM.
