NEW LONDON, CONN.— In their final game of the season, the Williams College Ephs (10-13, 2-8, NESCAC) fell to the Connecticut College Camels (5-17, 1-9, NESCAC) 65-58.
Junior guard
Arianna Gerig set an Eph team record today, scoring the most points in a single season with 509. She broke the record previously held by Nancy Hedeman '89 who tallied 495 points in 1987. Gerig achieved a double double today with 21 points, 10 rebounds and she added 4 assists, and 2 steals. First-year
Tatum Leuenberger scored 14 points with 4 threes and 5 rebounds. Sophomore
Logan Coster scored 7 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had 1 steal.
To score the first Ephs' points of the game, junior
Arianna Gerig rebounded a shot and passed out to
Mairi Smith who drained a two pointer from the left corner. On the following Ephs' offensive play, first-year

Arianna Gerig answered the call with a quick 2 from the free throw line. Gerig next drove to the basket, taking the defense with her, and she passed to junior
Kate Keenan who scored from the left corner. Next
Kate Keenan dribbled out from the right corner and passed to
Tatum Leuenberger at the top of the arc. With a quick-release, Leuenberger tear-dropped her shot into the basket. Jumping in the air and pausing before flicking her wrist, sophomore
Logan Coster was fouled and converted 2 free throws. The quarter ended with the Ephs trailing the Camels leading 20-18.
In the 2
nd quarter, it was again a call and answer session. The lead consistently being in favor of the Camels but the Ephs staying in contact.
Arianna Gerig dribbled into the paint, pulled up, and scored 2 points. Gerig next stole the ball from the Camels and took it in for a solo layup to tie the game at 22. Junior
Cortland McBarron dribbled into and underneath the basket and put the ball up for 2 to tie the game at 24.

Mairi Smith for a clean jumper to cut the Camels to 1 at 27-26. Junior
Ellie Tounkara passed out of the paint to
Tatum Leuenberger at the top of the arc, who drained a 3 to forge a tie at 29. Guard
Logan Coster completed a 3-point play with a shot from underneath the basket and a free throw to bring the Ephs within 1 33-32.
Kate Keenan passed to Gerig who dribbled once and floated up a two pointer to give the Ephs the lead 34-the 33 going into the half.
In the 3
rd quarter the game was yet again call and answer with each team taking the lead by one multiple times.
Tatum Leuenberger scored her third 3-pointer at 7:13.

Izzy Sullivan's basket established the Ephs largest lead of the quarter 47-43. The quarter ended with the Ephs leading 51-45.
The Ephs scored their first points of the 4

Mairi Smith for a clean elbow shot to make the game 57-53 Camels leading.
Ellie Tounkara found
Arianna Gerig and she drained a 3 pointer. Gerig then stole a Camel pass on the next possession and took the ball in for a layup bringing the Ephs back within 1 of the Camels. The Camels out scored the Ephs 20-7 in the fourth quarter to claim the victory..

Logan Coster, off of the bench, had 11 o-boards, 7 points, and a steal." Manning also spoke about today's team performance in the game, saying, "Conn College is a team that fights till the end and we slowed down. We were up 51-45 and we didn't keep our foot on the gas. Conn is a team that never stops."
